Good friends::

Most weeks we meet for a couple hours to discuss life, things going well, things not going well, children, ourselves and when all else fails...We knit.  These are my two dear friends that have gathered in my home for the past couple of years.  We laugh.  We cry.  We sit together as women and wives and mothers and revel in life.  

It nourishes me.  They nourish me.  I feel better about most things after the three of us have spent a morning over lattes and wool.  There is something about women rallying together.  Even when there is nothing pressing it leaves me feeling "seen" and heard.  I know, because they already have, that they would be there for me anytime I was in need.

These mitts were knit as a birthday present for one of these dear friends.  The celebration was in February...we ate, we laughed, we enjoyed a movie.  There was much fun had by all.  

In December I knit birthday mitts for the other dear friend of the trio.  I suppose now I just need to make some for myself and we could be a Mitchy-Matchy group of knitting friends.  Hmm...

I hope that all of you out there have someone in your life that helps you feel seen.  Today, I am grateful for so many things but especially good friends near and far.
