Bringing light into the darkness of the season.
The lantern walk was held this past Friday at my children's Waldorf school. We met under a misty/snowy sky to bring light into the season.
The children worked on their lanterns all week using paper mache to create globes with fall leaves pressed inside. Once the candles were lit and the children began to walk around the grounds the effect was magical.
Small voices joining with adult voices singing in the dark evening.
This festival is very simple but significant. Holding the light. Creating light. Cherishing the light. Such beautiful images for my children to fall asleep to.

Happy Monday. Hope you had a beautiful weekend.
