Sunday Morning was delightful with the smell of zucchini bread wafting through our home. That HUGE zucchini? Well, it turned into muffins, bread, more muffins, and more bread. The children helped with the measuring, the mixing, and the grating of oh-so-much-zucchini.
And, it provided and opportunity to use our new placemats. I found this pattern in Zakka Sewing, an inspiring japanese sewing book. There are so many patterns I would like to try I hardly knew where to start first. As a bit of sewing time appeared on Saturday I immediately sat down to finish these.
The pattern itself is well thought out and easy to do. Plus, it was fun to use all the little odds and ends of fabric I have floating around my studio. These would be a great house warming gift or present for anyone who wants a little whimsy for their home. The only problem now is that the big daddy and I might need some of our own too.
Hope your Wednesday is good to the last crumb.
You are amazing...those placemats are the cutest things! I would have finished one and then lost focus! Well done, and those muffins look tasty!
