Well, the time has come. I took a few moments the other day soaking in the "now" and I realized something, I have too much going on. I want to spend more time being present with my family and less time getting projects finished. I want to spend more time watching the sun hit the mountains in the afternoon and less time wondering whether I can fit just one more thing in.
So, after much thought, I am declaring a vacation for this "enchantedmama". Which is very hard for me to do! To take some time to enjoy the holidays with less hustle and bustle. Time to find just the right christmas tree on our excursion into the forest. Time to try my sister-in-laws famous biscotti recipe. Time to do "nothing" if that's what the day calls for.
I'm learning to be nicer to myself. To treat myself as a dear friend would. To offer myself a cup of tea, a warm chair by the fire, and lovely conversation. Goodness that sounds lovely.
While I'm gone I wish you all a spirit-filled holiday season. May we all feel a bit of peace. May the new year be full of promise, possibilities, and black-eyed peas.
